  • The exterior of the Oregon Supreme Court building underwent a rehabilitation project in 2015-2016. This project was initiated after surface cracking and  failing structure connections were observed. The building's cornice was replaced and the exterior tile was repaired, cleaned and sealed. ADA accessible wheelchair ramps were also added to the main entrance of the building.

Any other designation indicates an offsite location. We retrieve books twice per week. If you can’t find what you are looking for or have questions, please ask for assistance.

  • No. Our new location is significantly smaller than our permanent library, so we are  limited in terms of seating and workspace areas.

    Patrons are welcome to come and study, but please plan for the possibility that these spaces may already be in use.

  • The library opened at the temporary location on October, 7, 2019.

  • The 2017 Legislative Assembly adopted SB 5505 which provided for capital land acquisition, planning, construction, modification, and improvement of state buildings.  This bill included $6.0 million in Article XI-Q bonding authority for the Supreme Court building. An additional $27.3 million in bond and $5.3 million in General Funds were requested in 2019-21 to fund the full cost of renovations.
